Saturday's Soup was Asparagus Potato, now that stores are selling this season's asparagus crop imported from warmer climates. A really rich thick creamy soup like I have been seaching for. Easy to make.

2 cups potatoes
1/2 pound asparagus
2 celery ribs
4 cups chicken broth
1/4 cup margarine or butter
1/2 cup all purpose flour
1 cup whipping cream
1/2 cup milk
1/2 teaspoon salt
Dash pepper
For garnish:
12 bacon strips cooked and crumbled
3/4 cup shredded Cheddar cheese
